The HVAC trainers we offer not only have the ability to teach students electronically how A/C systems work but also show them the fundamental principles of refrigerant not only through theory but visually seeing the change of state of the refrigerant through sight glasses. We offer trainers for all types of systems in today’s modern vehicles like the FOT, TXV, H-Block in R134A. They also come with valves placed throughout the system that you can close and open to simulate a restriction in the line. The blower motor has a variable speed to also show how that changes the refrigerant in the system.

The newest trainer in our A/C system lineup is our R1234YF sight glass trainer. This trainer shows all the components of a typical R1234YF system and has built in sight glasses in strategic places to show how the refrigerant changes states. Both the Condenser and the Evaporator have variable fans to show how that changes how the system operates.

Our electronic-only HVAC systems provide students with the ability to diagnose inserted faults in the system so they can follow flow charts and diagnose the problem quickly and accurately.

Our complete OEM-style HVAC systems combine the best of both worlds with the OEM components located in the orientation they would be in a car and operate just how they would in car. These trainers are driven by a large 220v motor in place of the car’s engine to turn the compressor and pump refrigerant throughout the system. These trainers have electronic faults for inserting problems into the trainer for diagnosis. You can also add the clear sight glass tubes to any of these trainers along with a restriction control valve for an added level of training.

R1234YF H-Block

R-1234YF A/C System Trainer
Overview:
The R-1234YF trainer is built keeping in mind the automotive A/C system and its components. It uses common automotive components. This trainer is equipped with unique features designed to enhance the instruction of air conditioning physics. The A/C trainer is a fully functioning system with a hermetically sealed and internally protected compressor that operates on 120v 60Hz circuit. The H-block TXV design with R1234YF flow control is the heart of the system. It has ball valves that allow students to create a restriction on the high or low side to see how it affects the system. 9 Clear sight glasses allow students to see the refrigerant and how it flows through the system. and 4 digital temperature gauges allow students to see the operating temperatures of the system.

Features:

  • Have all major components required for an automotive air conditioning system using the H-block TXV system?
  • Fully operational with typical component layout and organization.
  • Clear sight glasses provide a clear understanding of the H-block (TXV) air conditioning refrigeration cycle.
  • Allows students observation of refrigerant changes of state (liquid/vapor) at the receiver/drier evaporator and condenser.
  • Can be connected to any A/C Recycling/Recovery equipment using R1234YF ports.
  • Allows visual inspection of the role and operation of the H-block (TXV) and receiver/drier.
  • Provides pressure and temperature measurement displays of evaporator and condenser.
  • Is equipped with an Internal Heat Exchanger (IHX) to increase the subcooling of the refrigerant.
  • Allows the introduction of system restrictions and blockages for diagnostic learning.
  • Adjustable fan speeds for demonstrations of typical performance problems for evaporators and condensers.
  • Removable magnetic component identification labels and refrigerant flow arrows for student learning.
  • Equipped with high-pressure cut-out switch and internal compressor protection.
  • High and low side ball valves can be adjusted to demonstrate various system restrictions resulting in abnormal operation.
  • OEM R1234YF ports.
