Our automatic transmission trainers are designed to allow students to see inside the transmission through the cutaway areas and control the transmission shifts with shop air. The shop air is connected to the trainer and you can select which clutch pack you want to engage and turn the torque converter by hand and see the output shaft change speeds with the different clutch packs you engage. The CVT trainer comes with an electric motor that turns the torque converter at a slow speed and you adjust the RPM with a knob and watch how the belt changes gear ratios in real-time
